The Toronto Stars Opened their Houseleague Season on Saturday, April 2st at McGregor Arena. What a wonderful day it was. A bit cold and cloudy outside but the sun was shining on the lacrosse floor inside the arena.
We started our day with the Peanut (2) and Tyke teams (6) meeting their coaches and getting their jerseys and shorts and having a practice. Then the Novice (4) Division, followed by our two largest age divisions, Pee Wee (6) and Bantam (6)., the Midgets (4) and Intermediate (2) teams also took the opportunity to get on the floor and get a stick in their hands again after the long winter season.
We had vendors there with lacrosse wear, mouth guards, and education, stick stringing. We had a BBQ for all the players and the parents and of course the ever famous Watermelon Challenge.
It was a very successful positive day and it was a wonderful start to our Stars Lacrosse Season.
A very big thank you to all the volunteers who came out and helped with this large project, putting 450 lacrosse players on and off the floor in one day is no small feat. Without our dedicated volunteers there would be no Stars, thank you one and all.
Thank you to our sponsors for supporting our Toronto Stars Lacrosse Organization, Mobile Dental Hygiene Services, Good Will, Just Hockey, Everest College, Connor the Stick Intern, WanMo Photography.
